Information Security Policy
modo, inc. (the Company) recognizes its social responsibility to appropriately protect the information our customers entrust to us and all of the Company's information assets, including customer information, as we bring technology to families and businesses, the groups closest to people's everyday lives. To fulfill this responsibility, we establish the following information security policy and take an organization-wide approach to maintaining and improving information security.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all officers and employees of the Company (including temporary agency workers and contractors), as well as all information assets that the Company handles in the course of its business activities.
2. Management responsibility
Under the responsibility of top management, we take a systematic and ongoing approach to information security and allocate the necessary management resources appropriately.
3. Internal governance
We appoint a person responsible for information security management and establish a management structure to maintain and improve information security.
4. Commitment of officers and employees
Our officers and employees acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for information security and ensure the effective implementation of our information security efforts.
5. Compliance with legal and other requirements
We comply with laws, regulations, codes of practice, and contractual obligations relating to information security and meet our customers' expectations.
6. Protection of information assets
We appropriately assess risks to information assets and implement technical, organizational, and physical security controls to maintain their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We also strive to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or damage of information.
7. Management of external service providers
When outsourcing any part of our operations, we evaluate the information security standards of external service providers before selecting them. We require them to implement the necessary security controls through contracts and other arrangements and provide appropriate oversight.
8. Incident response
We establish a response structure to prepare for information security incidents and events. If an incident or event occurs, we promptly investigate its cause, minimize the damage, and strive to prevent recurrence.
9. Continual improvement
We regularly review our information security efforts and strive for continual improvement.
